Kate's Heir

This just in: Kate Middleton is preggers! Woo!

The pregnancy rumours have been constant for the past couple of years, but I really had a feeling they were true this time, and turns out they were!

I'm a bit psychic.

Poor Kate is in the hospital with Hyperemesis Garvidarum, a very severe kind of morning sickness.  I hope she will be all right soon.

They haven't announced the due date yet as the pregnancy is still in its early stages, i.e. the first trimester.  I think the baby will be born in July.

They are taking bets on the name already.  Elizabeth is apparently the hot favourite for a girl, but my money's on Diana as a middle name.

This is all very exciting.  Congratulations William and Kate if you are reading (and I know you are)!

Music Monday: Relator

Mondays sort of suck, but not if you're listening to an awesome song!

This is one of my favourite songs ever.  It's super catchy and Scarlett Johansson has a really lovely voice.  I didn't expect her to but honestly, she does.  Give it a listen.

Chocpad

Instead of going to Bay Vista last week I tried out a new dessert place in Cronulla called Chocpad. I'm not really sure why it's called that.

The menu was much more limited than BV. They still had pancakes, waffles and cakes from a fridge, but not nearly as many varieties, and they only had one flavour of ice-cream! I know many cafes would only have vanilla, but you expect a few options at a dessert bar. Especially one that has sundaes on its menu!

Turns out a sundae is just an expensive bowl of vanilla ice-cream with syrup on top, similar to what kids get at Chinese restaurants.

I had a cinnamon waffle, which was pretty nice. It was fancier than a Bay Vista waffle and the melted chocolate was nicer, but I only got one instead of two and a scoop of ice-cream cost $2 extra so it ended up more expensive than BV.

Chocpad isn't woeful - the food was decent and the staff were nice - but you get a wider variety and better value for money at Bay Vista, San Churro, the Cronulla Ice Creamery or a late night cafe. I might go back if somebody else organised it, but I don't think I would choose it again myself.

Lunch

Even though I like cooking, I really hate making lunch, so much so that I usually don't bother, and end up gobbling a bag of chips around four because I'm starving.

Not today! Today I remembered I am an adult so I located some leftover tandoori chicken and roast root veg, a bit of lettuce and half a red onion, and I made myself a proper tasty lunch:
